Build a website about something you are passionate about?!?

I learned a bit about websites in college, and even ran my own online business for awhile...but then I realized that I was just creating "busyness" in my life.

I had a beautiful website and sold products about parenting. I loved the idea and the subject, but I hated the headaches that came along with it. The technology created headaches and sucked so much money out of me. And everytime someone placed an order I had to drive to the post office...with kids. And if I wanted to go out of town I had to make arrangements to have someone process orders. After spending a lot of time getting started, I decided the way I was doing it wasn't working.

I started learning more about business and reading books like "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and I learned that I didn't want to trade time for money. I realized that I wanted to be around my family, but have a business I could do that allowed me freedom to work when I wanted to and IF I wanted to.

I started doing some online research about affiliate marketing (I'll explain more about that later) and learned that people could earn a good living creating websites that provided high quality content and didn't have to sell anything...they call these people infopreneurs.

I loved that idea, because I don't like to sell things but I love to learn and research things. I also loved the idea that I could work from anywhere there was an internet connection.

The key is finding a subject that a lot of people are interested in (high demand) with out a lot of quality information about the subject online (low supply)...but that you, the writer, have either a good knowledge of or are interested in learning and writing about.

This sounds pretty simple, but how do you research subjects for demand or supply? And what if you don't have the technical skills to build a website...or don't want the skills :) Well, I found a company that takes care of all of those concerns.

This company is very interesting because is was created by a medical doctor...a medical doctor created a technology company to allow an average Joe or a medical doctor to create high quality websites online.

His concept was and is to make the technology so simple that anyone can do it...so that all the site owner has to do is focus on content. Well he (and now a huge team of people) pulled it off. They created a company that allows anyone from a technical newbie to an advanced website designer to have a system to follow.

The system is really the key. It takes you through the steps of creating a site concept (with high demand) and walks you through the entire process all the way through how to monetize the site (earn money).

The company takes care of all the back end things that other hosting companies don't offer. He wasn't trying to compete for cheapest hosting service. He was trying to find the most affordable way the average person could become successfull online...and the success stories will surprise you...well, they surprised me.
